What was the blue wiggles name

The moment blue Wiggle Anthony Field realised the band had to change. If anyone thought The Wiggles announcing four new members was an attempt to be 'woke', they'd be wrong. But there was a moment when Field, the only remaining original Wiggle, realised the beloved Australian children's band had to change.

Harkness pointed out while the band had people from different cultures sing and dance with them, the four Wiggles colours were not worn by anyone else. A lifelong Wiggles fan, Ferris admits to having a bit of a fan girl moment when she first met Field at a chance encounter at the Sydney Opera House.

Her first concert was The Wiggles and growing up she had a Dorothy the Dinosaur outfit "that's brilliant," Field interjects. Until yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins joined the band in , Dorothy was the only "woman" on the show. Now Ferris along with Tsehay Hawkins red , Kelly Hamilton yellow and John Pearce purple , have a chance to be role models to millions of fans worldwide. While Ferris, Hawkins, Hamilton and Pearce come from different cultural backgrounds, Fields says that's not something they call out in the show.

Tsehay wanted to wear pants, Evie because of ballet has a skirt," Field says. Field says Fruit Salad TV was a pilot idea to put a show on YouTube, but looking ahead he can't see how the band can't go ahead with more.

And while Field, 58, says he doesn't have any plans to stop performing, he's given fellow band member Simon Pryce red the order. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Australians and Traditional Custodians of the lands where we live, learn, and work.

Despite having guests from different cultures sing and dance with Anthony, Simon, Emma and Lachy, none of them were ever invited to pull on the signature shirts. Joining the group are Tsehay Hawkins, 15, originally from Ethiopia and will wear red; Evie Ferris is a year-old Indigenous woman who will wear blue; Kelly Hamilton, 45, is Asian-Australian and will wear yellow; and John Pearce, 28, of pop group Justice Crew, has Filipino heritage and will wear purple.
